Every Saturday and Sunday, the Stolica restaurant invites its Guests for a musical journey into the old days. Our summer terrace at the Szeroki Dunaj square turns into an auditorium for live performances by exceptional musicians from the Warsaw Band from Targówek (one of Warsaw's old districts), as well as outstanding pianists Łukasz and Mateusz Wojakowski and vocalist and violinist Agnieszka Wojakowska.
Live music every weekend
Our weekend music meetings start every Saturday at 18:00 and last until 22:00, and on Sunday at 14:00 and last until 18:00. The number of seats is limited, so we encourage you to arrive early. In exceptional situations, concerts take place at other times or are occasionally canceled, so we encourage you to visit our Facebook profile to check the news.
Melodies from the old days
Accordion, acoustic guitar, double bass, clarinet, banjo and even harmonica and tambourine are just some of the instruments used by very talented artists from the Warsaw Band from Targówek. The group has existed for over 25 years and has released several albums with recordings of the old Warsaw songs.
Warsaw folklore in live performances
Such hits as "U auntie's name day" or "I made an appointment with her at 9" are fixed points in the repertoire. However, it is very wide, so a journey through the retro music scene of Warsaw, also through the interwar period, is guaranteed. There will certainly be something to stamp your foot on, and perhaps even invite a loved one to dance ...
Sunday musical meetings with the duo
Sunday in the summer terrace of the Stolica restaurant at Szeroki Dunaj square is marked by piano music, i.e. retro songs played by Mr. Łukasz Wojakowski, who is usually accompanied by vocalist and violinist Agnieszka Wojakowska. Together, they perform a repertoire that draws heavily on the history of Polish songs from the old days, but there will also be beautiful foreign songs in a classic arrangement.
Sunday afternoon with the pianist
There are also Sundays that we spend with the sounds of piano music played by Mr. Mateusz Wojakowski. Fortunate is the man who spends at least a few moments listening to his music, because his artistic talent leaves live music lovers no doubt. See for yourself by booking a table in the garden on a selected Sunday, just when he will perform with us.
Live music is one of the important pillars of our lives. Stolica is a restaurant inspired by the times of the interwar period in Warsaw, which are associated with loud dancing parties and evening revues. The focal point of our place is a wooden, antique piano from Legnica, which regularly comes to life, especially in the autumn and winter season, when the weather does not allow meetings on our summer terrace. We encourage you to visit our place in order to rediscover the music from the old days, and at the same time we guarantee exceptional cuisine and the unique atmosphere of a side street of Warsaw's old town.
